Updates

May 25, 2023:  Please be advised the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal has dismissed all appeals from the decision approving the settlement of the class proceedings in Ontario. The Saskatchewan class proceeding has significantly delayed the implementation of the Ontario settlement distribution. The plaintiff in the Saskatchewan class proceeding will now seek leave to appeal the decisions of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. This will further delay the settlement distribution until the Supreme Court of Canada decides whether to grant leave to appeal.  A further update will follow once the Supreme Court decides whether to grant leave to appeal. It usually takes 6-8 months. See decisions here.
